Total Recruit are recruiting for a hands-on Contracts Engineer to support the delivery of bespoke, low-volume process engineering projects across customer sites and workshop environments.

You’ll work closely with Project Engineers to lead installation activity, coordinate teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.

Duties will include:

· Lead and coordinate site & workshop installation teams

· Support delivery of complex, custom engineering projects

· Plan work schedules, resources, and materials efficiently

· Ensure full compliance with H&S, RAMS, and quality standards

· Manage technical issues and communicate changes to engineering teams

· Liaise professionally with customers during project delivery

· Identify commercial opportunities during site activity

Skills Required:

· 5+ years’ relevant engineering experience

· Apprenticeship or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification

· Full UK driving licence

· Strong mechanical/process engineering background

· Experience with technical installations or special-purpose machinery

· Confident leading teams on site and making practical decisions

· Good understanding of hygienic/regulated environments (e.g. food)

· Strong organiser with excellent communication skills

· Commercially aware and delivery-focused

· Able to mentor and support others
