Pay Rate: £40,000—£55,000 per year, plus bonus on new sales

Total Recruit are recruiting for a Freight Forwarding General Manager for our client who are a dynamic, privately owned, forward thinking company who offer UK and worldwide shipping services via road, air and sea from their site based in Bradford.

We are looking for an experienced individual to work alongside the Managing Director to take the company forward through new sales and imaginative ideas. Supporting the sales and operations team and working to the end goal of becoming a Director of the business through hard work.

Duties will include:

· Proactive communication to ensure work is carried out effectively and efficiently.

· Maximising profits and negotiating with new and existing clients and suppliers.

· Operating the inhouse software, raising orders and process paperwork.

Skills Required For This Role:

· European Trailer freight/ UK Road & sea / air Worldwide shipping experience in all modes of transport.

· Commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate directly with clients and suppliers and identify and maximise opportunities to increase both turnover and profit.

· Must have Freight Forwarding experience and knowledgeable of freight suppliers.

· A professional positive and helpful attitude to work colleagues, suppliers, customers & excellent sales ethos.

· Numerate and literate – it is vital that the successful candidate is able to explain complex logistical issues concisely in both written and verbal.

· Experience of working for a transport/logistics company
