Pipe Welder

Location: Liverpool, L9
Salary: £19.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary for 10 weeks

About the Role

Total Recruit are looking for an experienced Pipe Welder to join our Clients team, working in a FMCG and CDM-regulated environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial settings and can deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with large, crimped pipework across industrial systems
• Cutting, threading, bending, and joining pipes to specification
• Reading and interpreting piping isometrics, blueprints, and schematics
• Installing and aligning pipe systems for steam, water, gas, and other services
• Working with a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC, and HDPE
• Installing valves, flanges, gaskets, supports, and hangers
• Conducting hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing
• Carrying out system flushes and leak detection checks
• Diagnosing issues such as flow restrictions, vibration, and misalignment
• Repairing or replacing faulty or worn components
• Coordinating effectively with welders, engineers, riggers, and project managers
• Maintaining clear and accurate documentation and reports

Skills & Experience

• Proven site experience within FMCG and CDM environments
• Strong understanding of industrial pipe installation and maintenance
• Ability to work from technical drawings and adapt to real-time site changes
• Experience managing tight schedules and maintaining productivity targets
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make on-the-spot decisions
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• proof of relevant coding’s (current or expired)
• Apprentice trained to Level 2 or Level 3 diploma in welding / fabrication
• CCNSE Safety Passport
