HR Assistant
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Salary: £25,500 – £28,000 depending on experience
Full Time Permanent Role 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Total Recruit are delighted to be recruiting for a key permanent position on behalf of a fantastic client based in Redhill, Surrey.
Providing a variety of HR related administrative duties including providing information and clerical support to our client and employees regarding human resources activities, policies, processes and procedures.
Key Tasks:
- To assist with the day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
- To work closely with various departments as needed, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures, interpreting and advising them on employment law
- To assist line managers with both implementing disciplinary procedures, dealing with grievances and performance and development
- To manage and maintain in an efficient manner all personnel, pensions and training files
- To assist with Training activity and update training plan, book courses, answer queries, update training records and ensure compliance with QA procedures
- To manage private medical membership administration – joiners, leavers, changes of cover with provider and answer queries
- To manage pension administration – joiners, leavers, amendments and answering queries from providers and employees
- To assist with ISO 9001 Audit for HR and Training related areas and to ensure that documentation is up to date and complete
- To maintain HR related reports and data, such as salary & sickness statistics, job grading, qualifications, birthdays, leavers etc
- To assist with HR employee lifecycle administration – new starters, contractual changes, leavers etc
- To assist with recruitment, which involves developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, liaising with recruiters etc
- To handle employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Confidentiality
- HR Assistant experience
- Ability to deal with confidential information and situations in an appropriate manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and communicate clearly
- Must be able to work calmly under pressure
- Must be organised, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Payroll experience desirable
- Attention to detail
